Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work management system for totaling operation results in a certain project. SOLUTION: The work management system is configured by connecting a work management server 2, a personal terminal 1, an IC card reader 4, and an entering/leaving management server 5 through a network 3. The work management server includes: a means 8 for accepting work items in a project from the personal terminal and registering them; a means for generating the folder of each work item registered in the work management server in a hierarchical structure; a means 9 for detecting a file which becomes active in the personal terminal when a person in charge of a work executes a work, and for identifying a folder to which the file is belonging, and for collecting the access time, and for collecting the work time outside the personal terminal acquired by the entering/leaving time management server from the IC card; a means 11 for updating a cumulative work time in each work item; and a work situation management means 13 for calculating the progressing situations of the project based on the collected cumulative work time.
