PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welt with a resin-made core being embedded therein which is capable of enhancing the holding force to a flange part of an automobile. SOLUTION: A plurality of locking grooves 11 of a substantially saw-toothed section which extend in the longitudinal direction of a welt body 5 are formed in an inner surface of an outer wall 5a of the welt body 5 of a substantially U-shaped section, and a plurality of claw parts 14 having the shape to be matched with each locking groove 11 are formed in a holding lip 8 extending to the outer side of the welt body 5 from a fore end of the outer wall 5a of the welt body. The holding lip 8 is folded back to the inner side of the welt body 5, and a flange part on a vehicle body side is held between the holding lip 8 and an inner lip 9 while each claw part 14 is fitted to each locking groove 11.
