Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling ball type differential transmission eliminating the need for a retainer, providing smooth rotation of a rolling ball with respect to an epicycloid groove part and a hypocycloid groove part by eliminating a resistance load with respect to eccentric rotation of driving plate, and quickening assembly work of the rolling ball. SOLUTION: Sine adjacent rolling balls 4a are continuously disposed in circumscribed states, by arranging the rolling balls 4a of a certain number in the epi line groove part 15 or the hypocycloid groove part 16 without a retainer, positioning of the rolling balls 4a is automatically carried out with respect to the epicycloid groove part 15 or the hypocycloid groove part 16. Following automatic positioning of the rolling balls 4a, it contributes to improvement of productivity by quick assembly of the rolling balls 4a. By continuously disposing the rolling balls 4a in the circumscribed states, smooth and stable rolling of the rolling balls 4a with respect to the epicycloid groove part 15 and the hypocycloid groove part 16 is made possible.
