Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure-sensitive adhesive composition for an optical film, and a pressure-sensitive adhesive type optical film using it, forming a pressure sensitive adhesive layer which may satisfy rework ability to be easily released from a member, such as an optical film, and workability or durability to be worked without causing disadvantages, such as contamination, lifting and separation of a pressure-sensitive adhesive, after a pressure sensitive adhesive layer is formed on the optical film. SOLUTION: This pressure sensitive adhesive composition for the optical film is prepared so that as a monomer unit, 50 wt.% or more alkyl (meth)acrylate is contained, (meth)acrylic polymer has a weight average molecular weight by gel permeation chromatography of 1,500,000 or higher, and 0.01-1 pts.wt. silane coupling agent, 0.01-10 pts.wt. siloxane compound of a specific structure, 0.01-5 pts.wt. cross linking agent are contained with respect to 100 pts.wt.
