Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of excessively suppressing an amplitude level of an audio signal in an information processing apparatus for determining an audio level based on the amplitude level of an audio signal and suppressing the amplitude level of the audio signal when the audio level is larger than a predetermined value. SOLUTION: The response speed of the audio level for the amplitude level of the audio signal is changed in accordance with an adjusting mode of the amplitude level of the audio signal.
