Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric double layer capacitor constituted so that a capacitor body is stored in one container member, the other container member is covered on that, three sides except one side where terminals project are heated to be welded, and the remaining one side after injecting an electrolyte is heated to be welded, wherein a heat-welded part wherein wrinkles are hardly generated at the three sides of the container and which has stable sufficient welding strength, is obtained. SOLUTION: A step of heat-welding the three sides of the container except the one side where the terminals projects includes a step of heat-welding the two opposite sides of the container at the same time by a heat sealing device 20 and a step of heat-welding the one side connecting the two opposite sides to each other alone. Namely, the heat welding by the heat welding device 20 is carried out not at the same time for the three sides of the container, but separately for the two opposite sides and for the one side connecting them together.
