Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that when reheating chilled food heating is required for a long time in order to heat the entire food, since the food is not heated evenly with ordinary reheating containers, thus water contained in the food evaporates causing the food to dry. SOLUTION: A reheating container consists of a body container which has a box shape with an opening in the upper surface and is equipped with a flange in the periphery of the bottom surface and a cover which has a box shape with an opening in the lower surface and is equipped with a side surface that abuts against the flange in a state that the cover is placed over the body container. An insulated space is formed between the side surface of the body container and the side surface of the cover and the body container and the cover is composed in a way that they are abut against each other at two places.
