Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the power efficiency drops when needed thrust or braking force of the entire formation is small in the case of applying an information controller equipped with drive controls for the entire formation to a linear induction motor rolling stock. SOLUTION: In a drive control system for a linear motor, some induction motors are cut off from a main circuit, using the drive controls within the information controller, when the needed thrust or braking force 7 of the entire formation is low, and residual energized linear induction motors bear the needed thrust or braking force of the entire formation.
