Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recombinant microorganism utilizing an L-arabinose required when effectively utilizing a cellulosic biomass resource. SOLUTION: The coryneform bacterial transformant having the L-arabinose-utilizing function is obtained by introducing the following genes (a) to (d) to coryneform bacteria: (a): an exogenous gene encoding an enzyme having L-arabinose isomerase activity; (b) an exogenous gene encoding an enzyme having L-ribulokinase activity; (c): an exogenous gene encoding an enzyme having L-ribulose-5-phosphate 4-epimerase activity; and (d): an exogenous gene encoding a protein having proton symporter activity of L-arabinose transport system.
