Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding die of a honeycomb structure which can suppress the decline of peripheral skin moldabilities and the falling of a cell wall adjacent to the peripheral skin when the honeycomb structure is molded. SOLUTION: The die 1 includes: a die main body 2 having a feed hole 31 and a slit groove 41; and a guide ring 5 having an installation part 51 and a guide part 52. The die main body 2 has a stepped part 42. A slit groove forming surface 400 has a central slit groove forming surface 422 and a peripheral slit groove forming surface 402. The stepped part 42 is formed so that the angle α between its peripheral side 421 and the peripheral slit groove forming surface 402 is expressed by: 90°≤α≤95°. When the distance between the peripheral slit groove forming surface 402 and the guide part 52 is A, and the distance between the peripheral side 421 of the stepped part 42 and the tip 521 of the guide part 52 is B, the relationship between A and B is expressed by: A≤B<1.5A.
