Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the laying structure of a side ditch in which a side ditch body is made shorter in height than a conventional side ditch to avoid the contact of the side ditch body with a drain connection pipe connected to a main drainpipe buried underground in a side ditch laying site where a road adjacent to neighboring houses lies, so that the side ditch can be laid over the drain connection pipe without detouring it to sufficiently exert a fine draining function of draining rainwater etc., that is an original function of the side ditch. SOLUTION: In the laying structure of the ecological side ditch with an osmotic slit, the side ditch with the slit is laid across above the buried drain connection pipe, where a side ditch with an ordinary height cannot be laid. The height of the side ditch body is determined to be shorter than a gap between the upper surface of the drain connection pipe and the ground surface above the upper surface to ensure a gap that prevents the bottom of the side ditch from coming in contact with the upper surface.
