Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal-combustion engine system capable of supplying the fuel to an internal-combustion engine upon reforming even without installing a separate heating means. SOLUTION: The internal-combustion engine system includes the engine, a fuel storing means, and a fuel reforming means. The engine generates a power through combustion of the fuel, while the fuel storing means stores the fuel to be supplied to the engine, and the fuel reforming means includes a fuel electrode fed with the fuel from the fuel storing means, an air electrode fed with a fluid containing oxygen-containing substance, and an oxygen ion conductor to separate the fuel electrode from the air electrode. The fuel reforming means makes partial oxidation of at least part of the hydrocarbon component of the fuel fed to the fuel electrode and produces a reformed fuel to be supplied to the engine.
