Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector equipped with a mechanism capable of preventing the scattering of dusts at the time of work for discarding the dust accumulated in a dust cup. SOLUTION: The dust collector 1 is equipped with the cyclone drum 2 connected to an appropriate air passing line to separate dusts in air by the centrifugal force of a whirling flow and the dust cup 4 connected to the lower part of the cyclone drum 2 in a freely detachable manner to store the separated dust. A connection part is constituted by the lower part of the cyclone drum 2 and the upper part of the dust cup 4 and a shutter mechanism for preventing the scattering of the dust when the dust cup 4 is detached from the cyclone drum 2 is provided to the connection part.
