Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a standby transmitting apparatus of a broadcasting material transmitting system which can reduce a memory capacity while achieving a small size and a low cost of the system composition. SOLUTION: A standby system video server 12 acquires the optimal broadcasting material data from a memory 111 of the active system video server 11 according to change, etc. of a day change time point and a progress table, and is made to record in a memory 121. Moreover, it discriminates whether there is unnecessary broadcasting material data in the broadcasting material data in the memory 121 based on the progress table or not, preceding to acquirement of the broadcasting material data from the active system video server 11, and makes to delete unnecessary broadcasting material data.
