Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polymer microporous body, by which the degree of freedom of various characteristics of the obtained microporous body can be more improved than that by a conventional method. SOLUTION: The method for production is carried out by the followings. A block copolymer composed of at least three segments where at least one is composed of a monomer unit having a first functional group capable of forming an ionic and/or hydrogen bond, and forming a co-continuous structure where each of regions composed of the respective segments is independently continued by phase separation caused by incompatibility between the segments, is mixed with a polymer having a second functional group at a position other than the ends of the polymer chain, forming an ionic and/or hydrogen bond with the first functional group. Whereby at least one of the segments is associated with the polymer at many points accompanied by phase separation, forming a co-continuous structure comprising a region composed of the polymer and a segment associated with the polymer, and then the polymer is removed from the region by weakening bonding between the first and second functional groups.
