Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of an automatic opening/closing device of a vehicle by reducing the number of components, and to downsize the automatic opening/closing equipment. SOLUTION: An electric motor is fixed to a case 25 for a drive unit 22. The speed of the running of the electric motor is reduced up to the predetermined number of revolutions by a speed reduction mechanism which is equipped with a worm and a worm wheel 35b, and transferred to a drive shaft 34, so as to rotatively drive a driving drum 41. A board storage chamber 46a is provided in the case 25, and a control board 47 for controlling the operation of the electric motor is housed in the board storage chamber 46a. A part of a board body 47a of the control board 47 is arranged between the driving drum 41 and the worm wheel 35b, and a rotary sensor 54 is mounted on the board body 47a in this part. A multipole magnet 53, which is rotated along with the drive shaft 34, is arranged between the worm wheel 35b and the driving drum 41. The rotary sensor 54 faces the magnet 53.
