Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new LXR agonist and a medicine containing the LXR agonist as an active component and effective for the prevention and/or treatment of atherosclerosis, arteriosclerosis, etc. SOLUTION: The LXR agonist contains a compound expressed by general formula (1) (wherein R1, R2and R3are each a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group, a hydroxy group or a 1-6C alkoxy group; and R4, R5and R6are each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a 1-6C alkyl group, a hydroxy group, a 1-6C alkoxy group, an amino group, a 1-6C alkylamino group or the like), its salt or their solvate as an active component.
