Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a fluorinated passive film capable of forming a fluorinated passive film having corrosion resistance on an iron steel base material other than a stainless steel material. SOLUTION: The method for forming a fluorinated passive film is characterized in that a base material made of carbon steel or special steel (other than stainless steel) is subjected to baking, and is then subjected to fluorination treatment at 50 to <150°C.
