PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of preparing pickles even for high-temperature periods. SOLUTION: A pickling device is obtained, by integrating a cold-storage container 2 having a lid 3 in the upper part and having refrigerator functions, capable of keeping the temperature at 18°C or lower with a cooling machine 5, capable of putting a pickle barrel therein and the pickle barrel. In the pickling device, metals are not used for materials for the interior of the cold-storage container and the pickle barrel, etc. As a result, pickles can be prepared, without the sourness becoming strong or causing putrefaction or have worms, during a period starting from May to about October, at which air temperature becomes high.
