Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bright zoom lens having a small F number over an entire region from a wide angle end state to a distant end state, and to provide an optical apparatus having it. SOLUTION: The zoom lens has a first negative refractive power lens group G1, a second positive refractive power lens group G2, and a third positive refractive power lens group G3 in order from an object side. When being magnified from the wide angle end state to the distant end state, the first lens group and the second lens group are moved along an optical axis.
