Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte fuel cell capable of promptly running a coolant or the like without leaking it. SOLUTION: This polymer electrolyte fuel cell has this adhesive layer for a polymer electrolyte fuel cell characterized by containing 8-35 vol.% of conductive fine particle powder of which the average particle diameter is not larger than 25 μm, and in which 50 vol.% of all the particles have each a particle diameter not smaller than 5 μm; and is structured such that an intermediate plate 1-3 is sandwiched between, and brought into contact with an anode facing plate 1-1 and a cathode facing plate 1-2.
