Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely absorb regenerative power and reduce wasteful power consumption even when an electric vehicle is situated apart from an electric absorption device. SOLUTION: Automatic voltage control of an electric absorption device 5 is executed by detecting feeder voltage by voltage detectors 61-65dispersed and arranged along a feeder, obtaining a maximum value of respective feeder voltages with a comparator 7 and taking the maximum value as a voltage detection value. The electric absorption device determines existence and nonexistence of regenerative operation of the electric vehicle from output current of a rectifier 3 for feeding, switches regenerative operation voltage to a low value during the regenerative operation, and transmits to a rear-stage voltage detector the higher one of voltages of respective voltage detectors by being linked to one another with a signal wire. Each voltage detector is mounted only in a wire position such as a station, acute curved part and downward gradient section, where the deceleration operation of an electric vehicle is expected.
