Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a segment joint firmly joining segments to each other in a single operation, solving problems wherein segments cannot be joined to each other due to a large impact or vibration acting on the segments, and manufacturable at low cost. SOLUTION: This joint for segment used to join the segments for shield tunneling construction to each other comprises a male joint 1 and a female joint 4 in which the male joint 1 is inserted. The male joint 1 comprises a thin-walled part 2 which is formed in a bar shape and in which one step 4 is formed and a convergent tapered end part 3. The female joint 5 comprises a tubular body 7 in which a slit 6 is formed, and a key member 8 fitted into the slit 6 and having an elastic body 9 as a pressing force exerting means for exerting a pressing force for intruding the key member 8 into the slit 6. The step 4 is formed at the end part 3 of the male joint 1. The thin-walled part 2 is formed of an upstream side thin-walled part 2A and a downstream side thin-walled part 2B.
