Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reading device in which an optical information reading means and a radio information recording carrier reading means are integrated, that resolves reading time increase and inconvenience caused by reading an optical information recording carrier and a radio information recording carrier in time series. SOLUTION: The information reading device comprises an illumination part 21 for illuminating optical information 20, an imaging part 22 for capturing an image, an optical information analysis part 25 for analyzing the optical information 20 on the captured image, and a radio communication part 33 for establishing communication with a radio information recording carrier 30. To reduce reading speed, the illumination part 21 emits illumination light and the imaging part 22 captures the optical information 20 to be stored in an image storage memory 23 at preset timings while a control part 40 decodes information acquired from the radio information recording carrier 30, and the control part 40 decodes the optical information stored in the image storage memory 23 substantially just after finishing the decoding.
