PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system capable of easily receiving the provision of multimedium information such as a document and a video through a network and displaying the information on a video display device possessed by a user. SOLUTION: The information providing system includes: a group 100 of devices of a user A who originates a telephone call to receive the provision of information displayable on a predetermined display device; a group 200 of devices of a user B who generates information to be provided to the user A and receives the telephone call from the user A; a communication carrier device 300 which controls telephone communication between the user A and the user B; and an information management device 400 which strings the information generated by the user B with a telephone number of the user B for management. The communication carrier device detects the telephone communication between the user A and the user , and notifies the information management device about call source information and call destination information. The information management device provides the information strung with the call destination information to the group of devices of the user A that is a call source of the telephone communication in accordance with a communication environment and an information class based on the call source information.
