Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide fence of a passenger conveyor avoiding, by swinging a swingable fence body, a situation where a solid matter is caught between a handrail and a swingable fence body by elastically supporting the swingable fence body on the handrail side of a main fence body vertically installed on a platform floor if the solid matter is forced to intrude between the handrail and the swingable fence body. SOLUTION: The main fence body 11 is vertically installed on the platform floor 2 in a fixed state, separated from the top of the folded circular part 4a of the handrail 4, and extended in the longitudinal direction of the handrail 4. The swingable fence body 12 is elastically supported on the main fence body 11 through an elastic support part 13, and disposed between the main fence body 11 and the top part of the folded circular part 4a of the handrail 4. When a force acts on the swingable fence body 12, the elastic support part 13 is elastically deformed, and the swingable fence body 12 is swing relative to the main fence body 11.
