Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve deterioration in usability in a conventional system in which a single function of an MFP (multi-function peripherals) cannot deal with a request of access to an MFP-utilizable removable storage medium from an external information processing device. SOLUTION: An MFP 100s is equipped with a remote file server function so that a file stored in a public storage including a removable medium 124m of the MFP can be accessed by a network-connected client PC 180. By mounting a remote GUI application (not shown in a figure) on the MFP, access to a remote file can be possible by a desktop operation of a client PC transferred to the operation panel of the MFP, in addition to an operation of the operation screen of the client PC. Accessibility to various storage media used for the MFP enables circulation of various kinds of information, and enables to meet the various needs sought by users and to improve the utilizability of the MFP.
