PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric heater control device capable of detecting electric margin in a vehicle by using an existing constitution with excellent economical efficiency and versatility. SOLUTION: This electric heater control device is provided with an on-vehicle electric heater 16 generating heat by energizing and an air conditioning control unit 20 controlling the energizing to the electric heater 16. The air conditioning control unit 20 executes processing to determine generated power of an alternator based on engine speed, processing to calculate electrical equipment total power consumption to be power consumption of all on-vehicle electrical equipment in operation except the electric heater 16, processing to determine marginal power by deducting the electrical equipment power consumption from the alternator generated power, and processing to drive the electric heater 16 when the marginal power is larger than power consumption of the heater 16.
