Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording body, which is excellent in water resistance, image stability to self-adhesive at sticking work and stability against the blocking at manufacturing and during storage by a method wherein the influence of the migration of low molecules such as a plasticizer included in a base or in a self-adhesive layer or the like to the thermosensitive recording layer is restricted. SOLUTION: A back coating layer with specified composition is provided on the surface opposite to the surface with the thermosensitive recording layer thereon of a support or between the support and the self-adhesive layer when the self-adhesive layer is provided on the support. In the thermosensitive recording body, on one side of the support of which, the thermosensitive recording layer including at least colorless or light-colored electron donative leuco dye and electron acceptive developer is provided and further, on the surface opposite to the surface having the thermosensitive recording surface thereon of the support, the back coating layer is provided, the back coating layer includes a modified polyvinyl alcohol, an epichlorohydrin base resin and a polyamine/amide base resin.
