PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a furniture coordination type room entrance/exit management system aiming to improve the security. SOLUTION: The system comprises: a room 1 having a room door 9 to be used for entering or exiting the room; furniture 2 having a furniture door 10 which is installed inside the room and through which stored articles are taken out; personal identification apparatuses 4 to 6 which are installed in the room or furniture and identify whether or not a person is a pre-registered person when information identifying the person is inputted; locking/unlocking apparatuses 7A and 7B for locking or unlocking the room door or furniture door; and opening/closing sensors 8A and 8B for identifying an open state or closed state of the room door or furniture door. The system is provided with article identification means 12 and 14 for identifying whether or not there are articles 13 to be stored by the furniture and a controller 3 for controlling the locking/unlocking apparatuses on the basis of the article identification means, personal identification apparatuses, and opening/closing sensors, so that information on the person who enters and exits the room is coordinated with information on coming and going of the articles to be stored in the furniture.
