Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarizer protective film, having superior adhesiveness with respect to a polarizer and containing a (meth)acrylic resin as the main component, to provide a polarizing plate which includes the polarizer protective film and the polarizer and wherein the polarizer protection film and the polarizer are less likely to separate from each other, and to provide an image display device that uses the polarizing plate and having high quality. SOLUTION: In the polarizer protective film, a solvent capable of swelling or dissolving a film, containing the (meth)acrylic resin as a main component, is applied on one surface of the film.
