PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chassis frame and a body construction of a vehicle provided with a seat capable of improving vehicle body rigidity by using a seat back. SOLUTION: This chassis frame and the body construction provided with a cargo compartment formed in a vehicle room space of a vehicle body rear part and a seat constituted by making the seat back 11 of the seat 3 loaded in the vehicle engaged with it in a specified erected state is provided with the seat back 11 free to revolve in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body by a hinge member provided on the lower side of the seat 3, a first engaging part 30 provided on an outer end in the vehicle width direction of the seat back 11 and a second engaging part 35 arranged on a vehicle body side wall 6 in correspondence with the first engaging part 30 and free to be engaged with the first engaging part 30, and the first engaging part 30 and the second engaging part 35 are constituted free to be fixed in the vehicle width direction when the seat back 11 is in the specified erected state.
