Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of preventing the movement of heat to the atmosphere (the neighborhood of a fixing roller and a pressure roller) while assuming that a heat transfer member is disposed in such a manner that it contacts a part of the surface of the pressure roller. SOLUTION: In the fixing device in which a roller-like long axis heat transfer member 11 is disposed in such a manner that it contacts the surface of the pressure roller 2 that is pressed against the fixing roller 1, the heat transfer member 11 is composed in such a manner that a member of high thermal conductivity 13 and a member of low thermal conductivity 4 are alternately disposed on the outer perimeter of a resin heat insulating layer 12.
