Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detector with a temperature compensating function, which accurately performs the temperature compensation of detection output. SOLUTION: The detector with the temperature compensating function is equipped with: a gas sensor 1 of which the electromotive force is changed corresponding to the concentration of a gas to be detected; a memory part 3 preliminarily registered with temperature compensation tables showing the relation between the output and temperature of the gas sensor 1 with respect to the respective concentrations (calibration points) of the gas to be detected at a plurality of points; and an arithmetic processing part 5. The arithmetic processing part 5 is constituted so that a calibration curve showing the relation between the physical quantities of a plurality of the points and sensor output in the detection temperature of a temperature sensor by extracting the sensor output corresponding to the detection temperature of the temperature sensor 2 from a plurality of temperature compensation tables and physical quantity at the time of detection of this time is arithmetically operationed using the calibration curve and the sensor output taken in from the gas sensor 1.
