Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transplanter without bringing a grading rotor for performing grading operation of the surface layer of a field from the surface to the planting depth in an un-driven state into contact with ground in the field. SOLUTION: A planting implement 7 freely liftably and lowerably connected to a traveling machine body 1 is equipped with a ground contact regulating means for the grading rotor as follows. Furthermore, the ground contact regulating means for the grading rotor is designed to lift the planting implement 7 when the grading rotor 22 in the driving off state is located in an operation posture in a lowered state of the planting implement 7 so as to regulate the ground contact of the grading rotor 22 mounted so as to change over the posture to the operation posture for contacting the ground in the field during planting operation in which the planting implement 7 is lowered and performing the grading operation and a housing posture for separating from the field and making the grading operation impossible during the planting operation in the un-driven state with the field.
