Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reinforce tunnel lining with sprayed concrete mixed with polyolefin short fibers to give sufficient strength and prevent crack formation. SOLUTION: A reinforcing construction method for tunnel lining of reinforcing the tunnel lining by spraying concrete onto the inner wall surface of tunnel lining. The concrete is mixed with the polyolefin short fibers, which are stretched fibers mainly made of a polyolefin resin and have a sectional shape of approximate polygon having three to six protrusions, where recessions or projections are formed longitudinally of the fiber at the front end of each protrusion.
