Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for an insulation resistance deterioration detection for a motor, applicable easily for an existing motor drive device and to provide a motor drive device. SOLUTION: The drive of the motor 10 is stopped, an electromagnetic contactor point 5 is switched off, then, the points of contact a1, a2 are closed. A closed circuit is formed constituting a smoothing capacitor C, the point of contact a2, the resistors R2, R1, a coil of the motor 10, the grounds G2, G1, the point of contact a1, and the smoothing capacitor C. A charged voltage of the smoothing capacitor C is applied to the closed circuit. If the insulation resistance of the motor 10 deteriorates, a current flowing through the closed circuit is increased. A microcomputer 41 acquires potential difference data across the resistor R1, a memory 42 stores a temperature and a humidity detected by a temperature/humidity detector 2e. Using the potential difference, the insulation resistance deterioration of the motor 10 is detected. The stored data in the memory 42 is displayed graphically. The insulation resistance deterioration of the motor 10 is simply detected. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
