PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating cooker capable of surely placing a square plate on a designated shelf in cooking, in the heating cooker having shelves of several stages. SOLUTION: This heating cooker comprises a heating chamber 12 for heating a heated object, the shelves of several stages 14 mounted on right and left side faces of the heating chamber 12, positioning portions 15 formed on the shelves 14, and the square plate 18 for putting the heated object thereon. An edge portion of the square plate 18 has a plate positioning portion 17 fitted to the positioning portions 15 of the shelves 14, a menu 20, and a shelf stage display 19 for displaying on which shelf 14 among the shelves 14 of several stages in the heating chamber 12 the square plate 18 is placed in cooking the menu 20. The shelf stage display 19 and the menu 20 are positioned at an opening portion 13 side of the heating chamber 12 in a state that the square plate 18 is placed on the shelf 14, and the positioning portion 15 of the shelf 14 and the plate positioning portion 17 of the square plate 18 are fitted, thus contents of the shelf stage display 19 and the menu 20 displayed in a state of placing the square plate 18 on the shelf 14, can be confirmed.
