Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method, for optical networks, determining the condition of each of optical networks in particular in the optical networks. SOLUTION: A front end of each branch of an optical network is installed with an optical filter that filters an optical signal with a different wavelength. Optical signals of different wavelengths enter each of the branches in sequence for analysis, so that the condition of each branch on the optical network is determined.
