PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which acquires in real time the regional information, on the basis of the present position of a user and externally displays it on a display, with the degree of recommendation attached. SOLUTION: The navigation system comprises a receiving section for acquiring the regional information from digital data broadcasting, a GPS section for acquiring present position information, and the display for displaying the present position on map data. The regional information comprises attribute data of a site to be utilized, such as weather forecast, congestion information, locations of various kinds of shops, facilities, and tourist spots, business hours, prices, and availability. The navigation system is provided with a categorizing means for sorting POI information received by category, and a recommendation determination means for determining the degree of recommendation, in accordance with the recommendation conditions, such as prices and arrival times on the basis of the present position from the sorted information.
