Abstract PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water based ink for inkjet recording satisfying high density of a print and suppressing nozzle clogging, excellent in redispersing property, and to provide an aqueous dispersion used in the ink. SOLUTION: The invention relates to the aqueous dispersion for inkjet recording comprising an aqueous dispersion containing (A) particles of water-insoluble vinyl polymer containing a coloring agent and (B) a 5-20C alkyl glyceryl monoether, wherein the water-insoluble vinyl polymer has a constituting unit represented by formula (1).
