| Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipeline A-D converter having a resolution, an acceptable conversion frequency, and power consumption responding to requests of a system. SOLUTION: The pipeline A-D converter comprises a controller which outputs control signals in response to an active status of a device in which the pipeline A-D converter is incorporated, and a pipeline A-D converter which switches a resolution speed or a acceptable conversion processing speed by switching the capacity of a built-in operational amplifier in according to the control signal.
