PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element with which optical constituting parts are positioned and fixed to a supporting body in a highly precise manner and cost is reduced or to provide a manufacturing method of the optical element. SOLUTION: The optical element is provided with the optical constituting parts made of silicon or glass and a supporting body which supports the optical constituting parts and includes a layer whose end face includes silicon dioxide, silicate or glass.
