Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital television receiver, a digital television broadcast system, and a fault recovery support method thereof capable of exhibiting proper troubleshooting and executing it even on the occurrence of a fault in a network. SOLUTION: The digital television receiver 100 provided with a network function and a browser function for using the network function so as to access a desired site for browsing, is provided with a diagnostic means for diagnosing trouble on a network path on the occurrence of a fault. The diagnostic means sequentially accesses a plurality of sites (320, 330) including a router means 140 and an access point 310 on the network path so as to diagnose (detect) the presence/absence of connection on every occasion thereby exhibiting a cause to the fault, its location and its measures.
