Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a cleaning member with high accuracy, to perform cleaning in a preferable state even with time, and to achieve these processes at low cost. SOLUTION: A metal shaft 24 having a tapered portion in at least one end is inserted from the tapered portion side into a melamine resin foam 25 under pressure to produce a cleaning member 22 or the like. The cleaning device 21 contains: a cleaning member 22 having a melamine resin foam 25 in at least an engaging part with the object 16 for cleaning; and an activating member 21 to pressurize the cleaning member 22 toward the object 16 for cleaning.
