| Abstract | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption required for displaying information on the display device of a portable communication apparatus. SOLUTION: An RTC 8a for clocking current time is incorporated in a display controller 8. The display controller 8 controls operation such that time information clocked by the RTC 8a is acquired, and the font of numeral and symbol corresponding to the current time is read out from a font prestored in a font memory 8c and displayed at a liquid crystal display section 9.
