Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circular fluorescent lamp, and a lighting fixture, endowed with an ability of restraining the transmission of light with a wavelength of 400 nm or less. SOLUTION: The circular fluorescent lamp 1 is provided with a circular discharge tube (a glass tube) 4, an ultraviolet inhibiting layer 2 fitted on an inside face of the circular discharge tube, and a phosphor layer 3 fitted on the ultraviolet inhibiting layer. The ultraviolet inhibiting layer 2 has a function of inhibiting the transmission of light with a wavelength of 400 nm or less. The ultraviolet inhibiting layer 2 can contain at least one out of titanium oxide, antimony trioxide, zinc oxide, and iron oxide. A film thickness of the ultraviolet inhibiting layer 2 is to be 0.15 to 1.25 μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
