PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for processing plucked new tea shoots, each easy to clean and adjust a processing time. SOLUTION: The device for processing plucked new tea shoots is composed of a net conveyor with a stretched net, a plucked new tea shoot processing chamber obtained by covering the net conveyor with a cover through preparing a proper space for passing the plucked new tea shoots through, a hot water spouting pipe equipped in the plucked new tea shoot processing chamber, a hot water spout port opened on the hot water spouting pipe toward the net conveyor, and a raking means for raking the plucked new tea shoots in a plucked new tea shoot receiving part to the plucked new tea shoot processing chamber.
