PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device for a vehicle for making it unnecessary to reset functions even when a passenger erroneously operates a setting means. SOLUTION: This information providing device for a vehicle is provided with a receiving part 11 which receives electronic mail, a display part 1 which displays the electronic mail, a voice outputting part 14 which announces the electronic mail with a voice, a setting means 10 which executes various settings of a display part 1 and a voice outputting part 14 and a control means 12 which operates the switching setting of either the display function of the electronic mail by the display part 1 or the voice outputting function of the electronic mail by the voice outputting part 14. When either the display function or the voice outputting function is set, the control means 12 inhibits the switching setting of either the display function or the voice outputting function by the setting means 10 unless the disclosure of information related with all contents of the electronic mail ends.
