Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a virus-like hollow particle of Genotype I related to a hepatitis E virus (HEV) and having a gene arrangement different from that of a HEV-like hollow particle of a well-known Genotype I and other virus-like hollow particles of other Genotypes related to HEV's, and to confirm the arrangements of the particles. SOLUTION: This virus-like hollow particle of the Genotype I having the gene arrangement different from that of the HEV-like hollow particle of the already disclosed Genotype I and the particles of Genotype III and Genotype IV of which the both have not been reported yet are prepared by extracting RNA's from serums from which the HEV's of the Genotype I, the Genotype III, and the Genotype IV are detected, then cloning regions of the extracted RNA's from which 111 amino acids counted from the N-terminals of ORF2's of the HEV's are deleted, and further preparing the particles according to gene recombination procedures, respectively.
